Boys’ Brigade & Girls Association - Discoverers & Amicus

Discoverers and Amicus are two Boys’ Brigade groups for young people, both meeting on Friday nights.

Most evenings are spent having fun in team games, working on badges and awards and getting a chance to hang out, learn and grow with friends. It’s a lot of fun!

Discoverers is for those in school years 7 to 9. They follow the Boys’ Brigade award programme and work towards earning badges whilst also joining with Amicus for fun, games and activities.

Amicus is for those in school year 10 to age 18. Most of the young people work towards obtaining their Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The DofE’s activities include:

Adventure - with camping and walking expeditions in the countryside
Community Service – with First Aid, safety, and help with charities
Interest - with music, cooking, dance and model making
Physical – with all types of sports and fitness training

We also enjoy off-site activities, like ten pin bowling, Quasar, swimming and wide games.

When: Friday evenings in term time

Time: 7pm - 9.30pm

Membership fee is £1 per young person each week.
